Join the Charlotte Center for the Humanities & Civic Imagination for a special gathering of The Forum featuring Eric Liu on ‘Rehumanizing Community.’ The Forum is a conversation and speaker series that brings people together to explore human flourishing through the lens of the humanities and civic imagination. Doors open at 6pm for a reception with appetizers and cash bar, program begins at 7pm. Kicking things off is a special performance by local singer/songwriter MercuryCarter!

Eric Liu, TED main stage speaker and CEO of Citizen University, will discuss how we live in a culture of hyper-individualism where almost every message we get, from every screen we scan, tells us that we are on our own and beholden to none. In a clarion call to “rehumanize,” Eric Liu brings us back to the essence of who we are. The Forum format invites us to connect to each other, consider ideas, and ignite solutions for personal and community flourishing.

You've heard us say it before and we will say it again: 🗣️📣 THIS fish sandwich is THE FISH SANDWICH! 🤤😋. We also had to try the GET YOUR ROLL ON: which featured clam strips Thurs night. Y'ALL! Yum! Also, it was Grayson's first ever clam and he LOVED it! Just don't tell him he had clams 😜😆!!!

This is all outdoors and was a fun change in scenery from our usual neighborhood walking loop. I would check out the map online first but most things were located along Tryon and near the mint museum. We went on a Sunday so their was free street parking but I would recommend planning some parking options before you go unless. My favorite part was definitely the heads projected on the trees in the cemetery. Their eyes and mouths move and they just looked so cool and 3D. You will have to wait until dark for this one.
