Join the Charlotte Center for the Humanities & Civic Imagination for a special gathering of The Forum featuring Eric Liu on ‘Rehumanizing Community.’ The Forum is a conversation and speaker series that brings people together to explore human flourishing through the lens of the humanities and civic imagination. Doors open at 6pm for a reception with appetizers and cash bar, program begins at 7pm. Kicking things off is a special performance by local singer/songwriter MercuryCarter!
Eric Liu, TED main stage speaker and CEO of Citizen University, will discuss how we live in a culture of hyper-individualism where almost every message we get, from every screen we scan, tells us that we are on our own and beholden to none. In a clarion call to “rehumanize,” Eric Liu brings us back to the essence of who we are. The Forum format invites us to connect to each other, consider ideas, and ignite solutions for personal and community flourishing.
