Music and Charlotte history collide in the most beautiful ways in Zone 6. Inside the historic Grace A.M.E. Zion Church, you’ll find Pianodrome, America’s first (and only) amphitheater made entirely from upcycled pianos.

Throughout SHOUT!, this intimate venue will surround you with history and bathe you in beautiful music all day long. It’s calm, yet invigorating – a restful, contemplative place to sit down, relax and enjoy inspirational performances from musicians young and old, from students and professionals.

Part of the Queen City artistic scene for 70 years, The Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum are organizing professional and amateur musicians of all ages to provide free recitals, interactive music experiences and even a scavenger hunt nearly every day at SHOUT!

Society at 229 at Brevard has partnered with the Arts and Science Council to offer eight cultural and creative events from visual art to live local music to international cuisines. All events start at $10. Click the link above for tickets.

Scattered across Uptown, selected restaurants and local businesses are offering specialty, limited edition SHOUT!-themed beverages, services, goods, and menu items. Participating businesses inside of and around Zone 6 include:

  • The Charlotte Farmers Market

  • Middle C Jazz

  • Crane Coffee
