Event Details

The “Chair Monster” sculpture was created by local architect and artist, David Furman and fabricated by ASCM Design + Build. Nearly 100 wooden chair frames form the spine of the 60-foot-long mystical monster.

This Charlotte Rail Trail project is made possible by the generous support of U.S. Bank, Centro Cityworks, and Levine Properties.

The @eatblkcharlotte food and cultural festival returns next Saturday, June 10 at SHOUT! Venue: Victoria Yards🎉 DETAILS: About 15 Black-owned food trucks will participate in the festival, which will have activities for kids and a live DJ. - From June 2-10, 25 local Black-owned restaurants, like @cuzzoscuisine, @romeosveganburgers, @weatheredsoulscIt and @urbansweetsco, to name a few, will offer weeklong deals leading up to the festival. • DETAILS: The festival will take place at @victoriayardscit and @themarketat7thst in @uptown.clt from 2-7pm. 🎟️TICKETS: General admission is $10. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE! @discoveryplacescience opened their newest exhibition this week and it does NOT disappoint! 🦹‍♀️ This exhibition is perfect for the whole family. 🎉 Showcasing genuine Academy Award-winning movie costumes, lifelike photo opportunities, and original comic art that allows you to observe every detail, including the white out marks.🦸‍♂️ FUN FACT: When you look closely you’ll see the Black Panther costume has Wakanda’s language stitched into the seams.🕵️🕵️‍♀️ The exhibit is open now until September 4th.
