Laura Sexton
Laura Sexton started teaching language twenty years ago, first English then Spanish, but only began painting with her daughter in the past five years. She uses acrylic paints and paper collage to distill small moments with vivid colors and bold shapes. From daily scenes from her travels to quiet scenes with an ill parent to small sweets that connect others to shared feelings and experiences, Laura's art aims to remind us of what we share in a world that can over-emphasize disagreement and discord.
