Pay-to-Park

There are several parking decks and street parking options in Uptown within walking distance of SHOUT! See the map below for the parking lots that are closest to the festival venues.

Light Rail

Take the LYNX Blue Line into town! Depending on the day, SHOUT events and activities are most accessible via the Seventh Street, CTC/Arena, Convention Center, and Stonewall Stations.

Tickets may be purchased at any light rail station or using the CATS-Pass app in advance.

If coming into Uptown on the Blue Line from the South, parking is available at seven stations including:

  • South Boulevard / I-485 - Deck
  • Sharon Road West - Lot
  • Arrowood - Lot
  • Archdale - Lot
  • Tyvola - Lot
  • Woodlawn - Lot
  • Scaleybark - Lot

If coming into Uptown on the Blue Line from the North, parking is available at four stations including:

  • JW Clay / UNC Charlotte - Lot
  • University City Boulevard - Deck
  • Old Concord - Lot
  • Sugar Creek - Deck

Streetcar

Ride the city's streetcar from one venue, to the other! One of our venues, Gateway Village, located at 900 W Trade Street, is conveniently located next to the Johnson & Wales University Station. The remaining venues and activities are accessible from the Tryon Street Station.

The CityLYNX Gold Line Streetcar operates 7 days-a-week from 5:00 am to 2:00 am, making stops about every 20 minutes.

Take the Train

Those from outside of Charlotte who are going to SHOUT can take NC By Train! The Charlotte train station is just 1.5 miles from Uptown where the festival is happening.

Stations are conveniently located in Kannapolis and Salisbury. With four trains operating throughout the day, there is a schedule for you.

How do you get to Gateway Village?

The easiest and fastest way to get to Gateway Village, located at 900 W Trade Street,  from Tryon Street is to ride the Streetcar for FREE and exit at Charlotte Gateway Station. The Streetcar runs about every 20 minutes and is active Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Friday 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM, and Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 AM.

What stop should I get off the Light Rail?

The Light Rail: LYNX Blue Line has multiple stops in Uptown, Charlotte. The 7th Street Stop is the closest stop to the SHOUT! excitement.  Our venue, Victoria Yards, located at 209 E 7th Street, is conveniently located across the road. 

Is parking free?

If you would like to drive to Charlotte SHOUT!, there are many pay-to-park parking decks. Please see the map above for recommended parking locations for the festival. 

Is the Light Rail free?

You can buy Light Rail tickets at any station or via the CATS-Pass app.

Is the Streetcar free?
