“Disco Skies: Where Jellyfish Pirates Dance” is an immersive experience, where the mirror-balled pirate ship stands as a mesmerizing spectacle. Admire from the dance floor as a kaleidoscope of reflections bounce off the mirrored trim, creating an illusion of infinite space on the seas and skies. The kinetic dance floor comes alive with the sway of jellyfish sculptures and fabric waves suspended from the rigging, their translucent forms illuminated by lights. With each motor rotation the installation dances, casting ever-changing patterns of light and shadows. The ship’s hull is adorned with color shift paint creating a canvas of colors. Ali’s vision was bringing the sea and sky together where a little bit of imaginative dreaming can happen.
