Nitara “Songstress” Reaves is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. Nitara decided early on at the tender age of 5 that she wanted to perform by learning Broadway show tunes at Miss Donna’s School of Dance. From the early of 8 to present, Nitara has been a Lead, Director, Music Director in several worship teams to include the New Jersey Mass Choir, Greg Hoover and The Charlotte Community Singers and currently plays in Charlotte area churches.
Nitara has opened for likes of Lenny Williams, Ann Nesby, Force MD's, Case, Lattimore, Tony Terry, Calvin Richardson, Glenn Jones, Anthony Hamilton, the R&B group NEXT.
She has performed at venues such as The House of Jazz, Twilight Caribbean Restaurant & Bar and McGlohon Theatre to name a a few. In Spring 2012, Reaves performed in New York City at several Latin events and made history as the first R&B Artist interviewed and to sing live on-air with a strong New York City Latin radio station audience.
