Que (pronounced like the letter) is a Sustainable Fashion Designer and former Editorial Hairstylist who has transitioned into a certified Personal Style Coach at GussyThreads Style Consultancy. If you've attended a wedding in North Carolina or crossed paths with her at the shampoo bowl, chances are she might have styled your hair in times past. The funny thing is she pursued hairstyling back in 2008 to be a part of fashion shows while secretly harboring the dream of being known as a Fashion Designer. Her dream of gracing New York Fashion Week finally materialized in 2019 when I was invited to be the Head Hairstylist for an up-and-coming fashion designer. This experience felt like she was floating away into outer space due to her elation. Although her work has been featured in Brides magazine and she’s participated in several events like New York Fashion Week and Charlotte Fashion Week (twice), her journey has taken a long-awaited turn. Reflecting on her early beginnings at the age of 12, she was a member of the Boys and Girls Club of America and joined a community workshop focused on sewing. This experience changed her life forever, leading her to attend Northwest School of the Arts with a focus on Apparel Design. Today, she is pleased to be a part of the local fashion community of Charlotte and hopes to help solidify its artistic presence.
