Gemeyal Brown

Mr. Gemeyal Brown was born and raised in Andrews SC. Gemeyal Brown started singing at a very young age of 4 (just making noise) but at the tender age of 7 that is when Gemeyal realized that he had a gift inside of him that people needed to hear. Realizing his gift, Gemeyal then started singing in church; leading songs and singing on the Son Beam Choir in the Soprano section. At the age of 16, Gemeyal was privileged with the opportunity to sing background for Kim Burrell, Smokie Norful and Byron Cage. That experience and opportunity opened other doors for the gift of Gemeyal Brown. At the age of 21, Gemeyal relocated to Pennsylvania for 12 years working as a counselor for troubled youth. While in Pennsylvania, Gemeyal began to meet people in the music industry was again privileged with many opportunities to use his gift. Gemeyal’s gift has put him before some of the greats in the Gospel Music Industry. Gemeyal has opened up and sang background for Israel Houghton, JJ Hairston, Maurette Brown Clark, Tramaine Hawkins, Wendy Wyatt, Derrick Bull and Remnant, Faith Evans, Keith Urban, Duranice Pace, Shawn Pace Ross, Ron Grant, Melonie Daniels and many more. It is Gemeyal’s desire to continue to use his gift to glorify God and to also open a Performing Arts School for children and adults. Gemeyal’s upbringing always takes him back to the place he calls home (Andrews, SC) where his mother, Mrs. D’netta Vann and Father, Mark Vann still reside. Gemeyal also has three Sisters Solyjoina Boyd (Tangy), Ieshia Lumpkin (Nekia), and Mar’Kala Vann (Kala) whom he loves and cherish dearly. Currently, Gemeyal serves as the Arts Leader and Praise and Worship Leader as Unity Charlotte International (Charlotte, NC) under the leadership of Pastors Fred and Jameliah Gooden. As Gemeyal continues to serve God and strive to please God, he is always reminded of God’s word in Philippians 1:6, “Being confident in this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ.”
